About Me

Dear couchsurfing mates,I'm Anja. Anjuska. I grew up in Slovenia, in a nice green country with mountains, forests, lakes and a few meters of the sea coast. I spent 19 years in Celje, moved to Maribor for studying and quite recently moved to Ljubljana where I live now with my partner.
I spent 5 months in Greece (Patras) as an Erasmus student and I spent 2 months in Almere (Netherlands, near Amsterdam), where I was volunteering at sanctuary for exotic animals. Both experiences broaden my mind a special way.

Life brings. We just need to pick.

Me: I talk a lot (but l listen too), I laugh a lot, I like to prepare and try out different vegi food. I like photography. And hats. And dogs. I like chocolate in every possible shape, state of matter and color. I'm an absolute winner in getting lost. I like walking barefoot. I like the color of the sea, the color of the sky (from blue to bright pink and orange). I like trains and boats. I absolutely like my boyfriend Rok (who you will definitively meet - and like - if you meet me - since we live together). And bikes - of course. I am an animal friendly person. I don't smoke. I hate gossips, materialism and the state our dear consumerism brought us. I like warmth and dislike cold. I like summers and endless walks in nature. I like the smell of the fresh cut grass in spring. I like forests. And old trees that give you the feeling they've been there since ever. I adore the sound of the sea waves and the smell of the sea. I like music and art..creating it, feeling it, learning to understand it. I am an optimist, but damn...this world is going nowhere so far.

There is no one giant step that does it. It's a lot of little steps. (Peter A. Cohen)

Carpe diem

Always watch where you are going. Otherwise, you may step on a piece of the Forest that was left out by mistake.

Music, Movies, and Books

I tried and tried and tried...put there's just no such thing like "movies, music, books" selection list about me :-) The more I "grow", the more it the last years/moths/days I came across a movie called "Never let me go" + a book called "Into the wild" + a musician called "Whiskey Moon Face"....

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Mother Nature and her extraordinary Art.
Colors. Sounds. Smell. Shapes.
Kids and their special picture of living in this world. It always puts a smile on my face.
Animals and their way of dealing with life. It always makes sence and we can learn so much from them.
Had a great day. Was walking down the street. Catching smiles and giving them back. And all the strangers became so close to me.
The cause of training my intuition too far.
Got cured by Reiki.
Being loved and love.
