Hi! I live in Helsinki and work as a chef.
My job keeps me quite busy, but I really enjoy what I do.

Cooking and baking are my biggest hobbies, so my kitchen is my happy place.
I also love sauna and it’s an important part of my life here in Finland.

I live alone in a one-room apartment and often have friends staying over, so hosting people on my sofa feels very natural to me.
I enjoy relaxed time at home, good food, and meaningful conversations.

I usually host one guest for 1 night.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I like having people visit my home.
Couchsurfing allows me to meet people I wouldn’t normally meet and share everyday life.

I’d love to enjoy meals and conversations together with my guests.
For me, Couchsurfing is about cultural exchange, not free accommodation.

Music, Movies, and Books

I don’t really read books or watch movies much.
I do enjoy Japanese TV shows, especially variety shows and comedy.

Music is always playing at home.
In the morning, I like calm Japanese music such as Humbert Humbert.
When I’m working or cooking, I often listen to Western music.
When friends visit, I usually play Japanese songs.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I started my life abroad completely on my own and built my career as a chef.
I’m currently working at my third restaurant, and with each move the level of the restaurant has clearly gone up.

I’ve also done cake pop-ups, which have been very well received and often sell out.
Being able to grow step by step in a new country makes me proud.

I’m a big sauna lover and know a lot about Finnish sauna culture,
so feel free to ask me anything about saunas.

I can also cook and bake, and I’m happy to share meals or cook together.
I enjoy learning about other cultures through food and conversations.
