Finding out what I want to do when I grow up
There's really not much about me ... or at least you have to see for yourself rather than me being all self absorbed and narcissistic. Anyways I've always thought we are what people make of us somehow ... because we know too damn well who we think we are, and most of the time it's not exactly what we really are.
Okay ... so I can be confusing sometimes ... and I talk lot ... but not overly a lot where you think "Damn ... will this guy just shut the F*** UP !!!".
So that's it otherwise I'll say more nonsensical things.
My personal philosophy is to make out the best of what you get or are confronted to. I guess ... because I really never thought about it ... or rather never phrased it.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Hosted, hung out, brought to parties, chilled in the park ... etc...
Helping is a nice thing and I usually don't like not helping when I can.
Great ones while surfing couches (not really through couchsurfing) and hosting. It's always a pleasure meeting peoples from around the world while they are discovering your city ... and even more of a pleasure to follow around good peoples in their own ^^
Photography, My Friends, People, Reflections, Close-ups, Idiocy, Laughing, Playing ... any kind of games, Animes & Mangas, Stories, Movies (etc...), Clouds, Rainy Days, Hypnotic things to look at, Watermelons, Simple things ...
Music, Movies, and Books
I never update this but it gives you an idea :)
Books. The Dictionary (I somehow happen to open it very often), Kurt Vonnegut (need to read a few more of them to have read all the "good ones"), Eiji Yoshikawa (for his "Miyamoto Musashi"), Boris Vian, Life of Pi, Winnie The Pooh and some others probably ... just can't think of everything at the same time. "The Man who mistook his Wife for a Hat" by Oliver Sacks is one recent book I've read which was absolutely amazing. So amazing that I want to tell everyone to read it and I thank my brother for telling me to read it (Thanks Thomas !!!).
Movies. I love movies ... I'll say names of directors more than titles of movies. It's easier. So Paul Thomas Anderson is amazing, Kurosawa obviously is too, Charlie Chaplin will always put me in this kinda blue (*wink to Miles and Coltrane*) and happy state, Jim Jarmush, Kevin Smith, Marc Levin (for Slam and an amazing documentary on life in prison), Todd Solondz ("Happiness"), Eric Valli, Anh Hung Tran, Takeshi Kitano, Wang Kar Wai, Terry Gilliam, Hayao Miyazaki (even though it's animation, I think he's a genious), Francois Truffaut, Bertrand Blier ("Buffet Froid" is incredible), Coppola, Scorsese, Kubrik (even though I didn't like Eyes Wide Shut), The Cohen Brothers (they are geniuses too), Tom DiCillo, Spike Jonze, John Turturro (love him as an actor and loved his first movie "Mac"), Vincent Gallo, Emir Kusturica, Tony Gatlif, ... hum I'm maybe gonna stop there cause I could go on for a while like that. There are a lot of directors which I highly respect and I'm sure I forgot lot's of them ... oh yeah I did forget a major one : Tim Burton. So a lot of them are great ... and I can't pick just 4 or 5 and stick them out of the rest.
Music. Mainly Jazz, Hip Hop and classical music ... but extensively, I love anything that has soul. What I mean by that is that I can listen to some music I don't really appreciate normally and like it a lot if the musicians put theirs soul into it. If they enjoy themselves and make their own guts shiver I'll get adrenaline. He he ... I like how music make me shiver sometimes.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
seen : every day I see something awesome.
Done : I'd say my 4 months bumming around in a van in the States with my friend. Total freedom.
Teach, Learn, Share
Sure ! Love to learn and like to teach ... and above all I will share anything (except my sorrow when it shows the tip of it's nose)
I can help with photography stuffs, and how to be silly. I'm handy (became through my job in Atlanta fixing things in an international school) but I would a lot like to learn how to make furniture very much.
