About Me

I caught that bug they call the travel bug and enjoy every moment of it.
I'm from regional Australia, travelled a bit, I wanted to see more, so I moved across the pond. I love hearing travel stories, it gives me inspiration and satisfaction to know that one common interest can lead to endless opportunities.

I've just spent a year in Ireland on a working holiday visa. I was living in the UK for two years beforehand. I've been lucky enough to see some amazing countries and continue to do so.

If I were to describe myself, the honest truth would be: genuine, unique, random, a little shy, relaxed, can't dance no matter how sober or drunk I am, karaoke queen even though I know I sound horrible (that's the point - right?)

I learnt a long time ago not to take notice of the rude people in this world because they're the ones who spread poison and can bring you down if you let them. I love being around positive people who can bring a smile to my face and that spark of happiness is what makes this world a better place for all of us. It's the simple things in life I'm grateful for..

I find myself gazing at the stars, trying to wrap my head around how large our planet is, yet also thinking about just how many other planets are out there... not yet ready to explore.

My music tastes vary but my all-time favourites are Meat Loaf, Billy Joel and Bruce Springsteen.
Movies vary as well but I'm the master of jumpscares in thriller movies and enjoy a good laugh in comedy.

I'm a bit of a geek and up for a game on the PlayStation. Usually play GTA or FIFA. We could even go back to Nintendo64 and Mario Kart will be on like Donkey Kong! Legend of Zelda is my all-time favourite.

I enjoy watching sports and I have a guilty pleasure watching the WWE (Wrestling). Loved it since I was a kid and just can't stop.
Apart from that "sport", I enjoy watching football whether it be the NRL, AFL, Rugby or Soccer (Football for my British friends)..

Apart from being a spectator, I love to play table tennis and I'm always up for a game of pool. I used to play soccer back in the day, however, it's been a long time due to injury.

To summarise, I'm a friendly human who would like to meet other friendly humans. Aliens are more than welcome, too. No probing!

Music, Movies, and Books

Bruce Springsteen, Meat Loaf, Bon Jovi, Billy Joel. So many other artists - so I'll just say I'd rather listen to 70s and 80s compared to today's music.
Crime books. Biographies.
Anything with Johnny Depp, Robin Williams, Sandra Bullock, or Denzel Washington, John Cusack for movies. Comedy is favourite genre and hear no evil, see no evil is probably my favourite. Anchorman is that dumb, I love it.

Also a fan of thriller and for some reason watch Paranormal Activity and scare myself silly that I can't have my feet out the side of the bed.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Fulfilled my dream since I was a little girl of travelling over to London. It felt like a Fairytale and the feeling was one of the best feelings I've ever experienced.
Oh, I jumped off a cliff too... twice. So if anyone tells me to go jump; I can say I already have! It was the Canyon Swing in Queenstown, New Zealand.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm a qualified TEFL teacher. Which means teaching English as a foreign language. Happy to teach you, as I love to learn languages myself. I enjoy learning music, it inspires me seeing other people's talent as musicians.
I want to share travel stories and memories.
