About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To be at home everywhere :)

ABOUT ME

Before something wacky comes up, this shall do:

I'm currently doing my M.Phil. in Economics from Oxford. I grew up in New Delhi, and studied in New Delhi and London before starting my course at Oxford. I've travelled a lot in India and South-east Asia, and in the UK. I hope to cover a lot of Europe over the next 2 years, and then Africa, South America and China beckon :)

I love writing, traveling and photography, and dream of being a travel writer one day. I love meeting new people, especially if I get a chance to hear their stories and anecdotes to add to my own repository. I think couch-sharing is a great idea because it will help me do that, as well as help me see the world through the perspective of local residents, and hence grow as a person.

PHILOSOPHY

Give yourself the best possible chance :)

Music, Movies, and Books

I love classical music, especially composers like Vivaldi, Debussy, Tchaikowsky, and Beethoven....I am amazed by how classical music brings about a merger of meaning and substance, and I use every opportunity I get to attend concerts and recitals, close my eyes, and drift away on the notes.

As for books, I read widely, especially autobiographies, since they give me a chance to glimpse someone's life journey. I also enjoy reading the work of Pamuk and Gabriel Garcia Marquez, and Indian writers writing in English, such as Amitav Ghosh, Rohinton Mistry, Vikram Seth etc.
