I am a mother of 3. I love all things language and all things travel. My greatest joy is passing this on to my kids (while enjoying it myself) . I like eating good food, reading, playing volleyball, doing small construction projects, skiing, walking, and exploring!

I am on Couchsurfing because I love the idea of people helping people. I love the idea of the community that this idea promotes. I don't know if it is ideal for me as I usually have at least one kid with me, but I am willing to give it a chance.

I don't watch a lot of movies but I tend to like really shallow action films, and a bonus if they take place in a desert.
I love all books that are well written. My fiction tastes sometimes err toward my movie preferences but are thankfully much more broad. My nonfiction tastes include most things that are not politics with special interest in how people tick and cool things about nature.

I would say that the most amazing thing I've done recently is that I broke my tennis racket. I hit an overhead really hard and the aluminum frame shattered clean through!
