Hello, I am Karen! I am an teacher and also a learner of English based in Kyoto. Since now, I have been studying English for more than ten years including one-year study abroad in the UK, but I identify myself still a learner of English, so PLEASE TEACH ME ENGLISH :) Instead, I will teach you Japanese, because I am also studying Japanese Education. This year, I will be really free, so I am traveling around the world.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

As written above, I am learning English and French, I really keen to communicate with people around the world with these languages (and lots of body languages). I would like to be an English teacher in Japan in the future, so I believe these experiences will help me with teaching foreign languages.

I don't often have any particular favorite, but I really like Nicolas Sparks! I watched all the movies based on his story, and especially love "Notebook". I usually listen to Japanese minor music and I love comics, too!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I just really love to talk and know each other even if we talk in different languages. When I study abroad when I was 17, I did not understand their languages, but I tried to understand them, then I could share their feelings and what they told me, and they also could understand what I told them.
