Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm moving to LA in May, and will be driving across country with my 19-year-old son. We're looking for places to stay where we can meet some nice people and not spend a lot of money. Since I don't know how long it will take to get settled in LA, I'm hoping to stretch my moving fund as far as possible.
