I have enjoyed traveling my whole life and have been fortunate enough to see a lot of the U.S. I have also visited 13 countries, most recently Guatemala (2016, 2019, and 2023); Costa Rica (2016 and 2023); Belize (2023); and Mexico (2019, 2022, and 2023). I enjoy meeting people from other countries and learning about different cultures, foods, etc.,. Besides living here in NM, I have also lived in 7 other states. Originally from NC and know that state well. I love boating, camping, hiking, and generally just exploring the very diverse and incredibly beautiful world I live in. I LOVE music - many different genres and come from a whole family of musicians. I have many passions, but besides music and travel, the others that come to mind are nature, Latin culture, dancing, and generally learning and experiencing new things - keeping life fresh.

I look forward to meeting people in various locations here in the United States as well as other countries. I have used Airbnb in the past, but have friends that also use Couchsurfing so I decided to give it a try. This seems like a great way to network with others who are passionate about traveling and experiencing new places.

I've let my hair down; I've put my hair up. I've got down in the trenches when I needed to. I try to be open minded. I can still feel the magic that a kid feels when I experience new things. I love teaching people little things and sharing information that will make someone else's life easier. Sometimes I don't act my age...and I am learning to make no apologies for that. In the past, I have often been my own worst critic but have learned to relax my expectations and live more in the moment. It's not easy for someone who spent twenty-one years in the military.
