ABOUT ME

I'm a software engineer who works from home. I love smiling and laughing (who doesn't?) and meeting new people to do these with :)

I'm new to the whole couch surfing thing, but thought I'd give it a try for a month long trip to Hawaii. I didn't want to spend the whole trip lonely and broke, and I'd really like to make the most of my time while I'm there. For the first part I will be staying with a college friend, but he's moving, and I'm looking for the next best thing - new friends!

As far as being a guest, if you're looking for someone to hang out with a bit that would be awesome! I can also make myself scarce if need be (coffee shops for work, beach for evening).

In life in general, I'm mostly just looking to have a good day, every day (if possible). I'm clean and flexible (with schedule, I don't do yoga) and am pretty laid back.

When I'm in Hawaii, I'm looking forward do doing some exciting things (scuba, skydiving, hiking, snorkeling, sailing maybe), but I'm also looking forward to just kicking back and reading on the beach. Some of my most favorite vacation memories involve just wandering around or grabbing a cup of coffee at a place with a view (people or scenery). I love packing in the activities, but finding time to unwind is just as nice.

Most of the time when I'm hanging out with friends I'm doing one of the following: dinner/drinks, working at a coffee shop, bouldering, hiking, hanging out at the beach (when I lived in Charleston).

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Diving the Blue Hole in Belize - swimming in and out of massive spiraling pillars. Absolutely unbelievable!

The view from the top of Seoul Tower - the city just kept going!
