About Me

Lemonade, lemon bars, lemon jelly

Hello hello!

I'm currently studying for my Master's in Middle Eastern Studies at the American University of Beirut, in Lebanon. I came here to study a few years back and fell in love, so here I am! I'm hoping to do a lot of traveling while I'm in the region, as well as skipping over to Europe whenever I have time off from school.

My last year has been a whirlwind--I left my home in Michigan, USA, hitch hiked across the US for a while, and then flew down to Ecuador to work on organic farms (WWOOF!) and of course couch surf. I probably wouldn't have left South America if I hadn't already committed to school, but now I'm onto the next adventure.

I haven't had a permanent place to live since I started using CouchSurfing in January, so I'm super excited to give back to the community as a host during my time here in Beirut. I love this country, and I would love to share it with whoever comes to my door.

Being in trouble is a fake idea

Why I'm on Couchsurfing

Well, I first heard of CS years ago, but didn't join until quite recently. After I finished my undergraduate studies, I flew out to California to begin an epic hitch hiking adventure across the US with my friend, Thor. We created a CS profile together and used it all over as we vagabonded from coast to coast.

I will never use a hotel again. Long live CS!

Hitch hiking, backpacking, mountains, animals of many kinds, found art, tide pools.
