ABOUT ME

I was born and raised in California, and that is where I want to retire, but in the meantime, I want to see as much of the world as I can. I am earning my doctoral degree in journalism right now, where I primarily do research on the effects of digital media. I certainly enjoy meeting people, like the rest of the couchsurfing members.

I have both hosted and been hosted just a handful of times over the years. I have also donated money to couchsurfing.com.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have not participated a whole lot, but every time I have it has been awesome! One host took my boyfriend and I champagne tasting, cooked us dinner, and really made us feel at home. Another host took my best friend and I bouldering and showed us a great time outdoors. I hope all of my future experiences are that good!

Interests

I am interested in chillin, hanging out with friends and family. I like to do things, be active, play sports or take hikes. I also like to watch movies and have friends over to play games. Mostly, I can have fun doing anything as long as I am in good company.

Music, Movies, and Books

I hate these questions because I can't pick the best ones, so I will tell you what I have watched, listened to and read today. I listened to NPR this morning. I read a statistics textbook. And I watched Transparent tonight.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I took a semester off college and backpacked around Southeast Asia, so I saw tons of amazings sights. I have also lived in Europe for a year and traveled to many EU countries. I am very fortunate to have traveled as much as I have, but also, I come from an amazing place -- Lake Tahoe -- a place where many people travel to see something amazing.
