Overview
About Me
Carioca (like New Yorker), born and raised in Rio. Graduated in Journalism but accomplished professionaly as an Executive Assistant.
I live with my dad and step mom and have a married step sister.
My mom lives close but living with my Dad is closer to work. We all get a long well, with love, understanding and some rare fighting to spicy up a little. Haha
I'm known by my friends as the ambassador of Rio de Janeiro. My whole nextwork started in 2000, going online and meeting people on webchats.. In 2003 I finally met one of them and then in 2006 I met 7 guys during Carnival and became friends ever since. In 2009, one of his friends, Alexandria came and I hosted her for three days. After that I met her friend who introduced to his friends and wife.. then I hosted another friend.. and still goes on ... the whole circle keeps growing every year. Everytime is a unique experience. We always have a lot to share with each other and I hope to be successfull couchsurfing too.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm planning a trip to US to try to have a different experience besides going on vacation.
During my stay, I plan on trying to get a temp job and have a professional experience while I'm there.
I'm a little bit adventurous as well, so making new friends is part of being a couchsurfer. Occasionally I might host too. I always need my family's approval, but they are wonderful and usually it's always yes for requests.
Even if i'm not able to host you at home.. count on me to hang out in the city.

Music, Movies, and Books
Music: OldSchool RnB (90'´and 80's), Brazilian music (all genres), some House and deep House too.
Movies: mostly comedy, action and movies based on true stories, but it's been a while now. I rather go to the theater to watch stand-up comedies and musicals.
Books: I like reading books also based on true stories and lately I've been reading a lot about spiritism.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I think that one "OF" the most amazing things I've done was paragliding.
I want to go skydiving now.. and hangliding too.

Teach, Learn, Share
Interesting.. a lot of people ask me to teach them english (brazilian friends) and portuguese (friends all over the world)..but i honestly don't know how to..LOL..
It is in me.. can't explain.. I did take 4 years of english classes from 98' - 2002' and
I still study and try to keep up with vocabulary and grammar..because "if you don't use it, you loose it".
What I Can Share with Hosts
I volunteer at Sonhar Acordado which is an international, nonprofit organization that works with institutions, orphanages, homes and hospitals, that supports and seeks to transform the lives of underprivileged children through a friendship with the young volunteers. It's very important to me to be part of this family, because I always have more to receive than to give to them.
These kids are amazing.
