ABOUT ME
I am currently traveling abroad with my partner. Although the reason we joined is because we need to save some money, we both just want to meet some great people over here too.
We are both part of the Burning Man community and are actively involved in it and other festivals within our community. We have both worked on the last two Temples (2011 & 2012) at Burning Man and also brought our own large scale installation art piece.
I am a school teacher and my partner is an artist, looking into getting a tattoo apprenticeship. As a teacher, I have taken a year off, to try and learn as much about other cultures as I can. I work in a fine arts school back home and am also trying to learn as many forms of dance, drama, music or visual art while I am abroad.
We're pretty silly fun people. Not crazy....well maybe but not killer crazy! We like to make jokes (jokes...I get jokes) and have a good laugh at least once a day.
PHILOSOPHY
I live my life by loving people and being grateful for everything and everyone who I have in my life.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
We just found out about couch surfing before we left and haven't used it yet, but think its a great idea. We would love to have the opportunity to meet some new people and also to save a bit of money on accomodation while we're here!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
We've mostly just been crashing with friends, but are looking forward to getting to know some people over here.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I have to say that the most amazing thing I have ever done in my lifetime, was to be part of build crew for the Temple of Transition at Burning Man 2011.
The Temple is spiritual refuge at Burning Man, where thousands gather to reflect, celebrate, let go and/or to mourn. It is many things to many people and I was honoured to have the chance to serve my community, building this project with an unbelievable crew. To see it and to understand more, please go here:

Teach, Learn, Share
I beleive in the philosophy that we all teach and learn from each other, but in a natural conversation, not forced.
But if you really want me to teach you something, here are some of the things I can share my knowledge on: Swing Dancing, Cheese making, the education system in BC, Burning Man culture, etc.
There are lots of things I can teach. I am a teacher by profession too.
