About Me

I am a perpetual student. I hang out in bookstores and coffee shops. I'm a laid back introvert who loves to meet new people, and I enjoy a lot of things, including reading, films, learning language, martial arts, biking, eating, museums, art, salsa dancing (though I am not so experienced at this), and of course, traveling!

I really want to learn how to surf. I've never gotten the chance to try. I also want to try kayaking, stand up paddle boarding, and rock climbing.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I recently hiked up to the Laguna Chicabal in Guatemala. We got there early when the sky was blue and walked on the path around the laguna. It's a sacred place to the Mam Maya who live around there, and we saw lots of altars. By the time we got back to the path down, clouds had rolled into the laguna and visibility was very low, but it was the coolest thing to be enveloped in a cloud.

Teach, Learn, Share

I have experience teaching French to American kids and teaching English to ESL learners. I also have a lot experience tutoring English writing.

I want to learn and practice language skills in French, Spanish and German, but my German is very limited right now.

Countries I’ve Visited

Austria, Belgium, Belize, Cambodia, Canada, China, France, Germany, Guatemala, Italy, Kenya, Mexico, Poland, Switzerland
