About Me

what can i say? i like uncomplicated people. i like keeping everything simple that can be kept simple. there is little to nothing of any material value to me. i want to physically own as little as possible, while "owning" as much as possible within, from experiences (through which comes wisdom), to memories, ideas and a creative mind. i dont believe in superficiality, greed and jealousy. i genuinely believe in the art of contentment.

PHILOSOPHY

find what you love and let it kill you.
-bukowski.

Why I'm on Couchsurfing

i love meeting people, its really as simple as that. i like this community. ive only had really good experiences, i find it easy to get to know people on this platform especially on couchsurfing meetups. when i travel, i want to get to know a culture properly. i want to be a full part of that culture even if it is just for two days. i want to know the secrets, intricacies, the details, the stuff lonely planet doesn't tell you because it doesn't know. hostels, hotels, touristy areas, restaurants...it gives me nothing. its like floating on the surface of an enormous ocean that, if only you're willing to dive in a bit, will reveal its most fascinating reality.

Interests

Music. Art. Places I have never been or want to visit again. Society. Culture. Literature. Languages! Food!
I think it's easier to describe what I'm not interested in, that being: football, cars, money.

Also, I want to learn every language and meet as many human beings every day for the rest of my life. I dont believe in staying hung up on the same people all your life now im not saying to replace all your friends every 5 years, no way, but keep making an effort to meet new people all the time. never grow tired of it. never settle down. its the most brilliant way to learn and grow. :)

One Amazing Thing I've Done

Seeing the pyramids for the first time in my life, when I was just a little girl and thinking: this is Egypt. That moment when my country engrained itself in such a beautiful way into the little heart of my child self.

Teach, Learn, Share

to love.
that want i want to teach, learn and share at the same time.
how naive and juvenile.
i understand life is hard, complicated, a roller coaster.
im conscious of its many bending roads and meandering rivers and maybe thats why i love it. hell, i dont know. i fall in love every day with all the smiles, the kindness, the hearts. these are worth focusing on. i cant really "teach" anything in the conventional sense but hey, a long conversation over 4 bottles of wine can sometimes be more inspiring than half of your university career.
