Hello! My name is Karin. I’m a pretty fun, easy going person who is respectful and kind. I love meeting new people. I love to laugh. I moved out to Oregon a couple of years ago, road-tripping my way out from upstate NY. I current live in Portland. I love being outside in nature, connecting to other living beings and feeling simultaneously grounded & humbled by my surrounds as well as light and uplifted. Honestly, one of my favorite things is to drink tea and just chat. Looking forward to meeting you.

I’m into a broad range of music and it’s mood dependent. Folk, rock, jazz, bluegrass, classical, some metal. I really love documentaries and some romcoms, especially the black & white movies I watched as a kid (yes, I’m only 34 😅). I also love psychological thrillers. Pretty open to all except horror. My go-to show is The Golden Girls. Books - I like fiction in the winter, nonfiction in the summer, garden books, Jane Austen all year round. I enjoy memoirs, self-hell books, and I’m still a sucker for a mystery.

Toss up between moving to Oregon and volunteering in the Alps restoring castles and forts. Both involved me traveling alone far away. Both felt like huge leaps and I’m proud of myself for going for it. When I make my mind up about something I’d like to do, I do it. And I love that about myself. ❤️

I can teach French, I’d love to learn German (or Spanish, Italian, Sign Language, or Arabic), I enjoy sharing meals with everyone pitching in in some way.

I’ve been told that my smile is infectious and that I’m a nice person to be around. Aside from that, I have traveled to cool places, have had neat experiences, and speak French. I like connecting with others and I think that’s a gift. Oh and if you like singing, let’s sing!
