Overview
About Me
I've spent most of my life obligated to sports and work and now I just want to take time for myself by fulfilling one of my life's dreams which is to travel. I want to see the world as well as my own backyard, and I want to take full advantage of my summers off.
I love everything water 🌊🌊 except i'm afraid of the bottom of the ocean (don't worry, I just doggie paddle my way through). Cliff jumping, hot springs, pools, oceans... I love it all 🐠
Besides being a part time fish, I like finding a healthy balance between getting outdoors to find adventures and just having a chill, relaxing day. Included in both of these activities is a serious love for all food! One of my favorite things is eating a cuisine that I haven't had the pleasure of trying (yet).
My final biggest love is my dog (as well as all dogs). They make the best hiking companions.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
While I do enjoy doing things by myself, I also get excited about meeting other people who are local to the areas that I visit. No one knows the ins and outs of an area better than someone who lives there and I just look to get to know these people better and truly learning about their city and their culture.

Music, Movies, and Books
Some of my best days have been doing nothing but curling up on a couch with some music, a movie, or a book... but I don't necessarily gravitate towards a specific genre. Whatever fits my mood!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
raced against some current olympians 🏊🏼 (& lost)
Teach, Learn, Share
I spend all year teaching an exceptional group of teenagers in the South Bronx, and the biggest thing I've learned is that these kids have just as much to teach me as I have to teach them. I try to live my life through that same philosophy... no matter where I go or whom I meet there is plenty of new learning and experiences to be enjoyed.
