About Me
Hey! I’m Karina, a Brazilian girl who moved to Italy 3 years ago without knowing anyone or speaking a single word of Italian. It wasn’t always easy, but I adapted along the way – and even though I miss home and truly love Brazil, I’ve never once regretted the decision I made.
I have a degree in Nursing and worked in the field for a few years, but about a year and a half ago I decided to take a break and listen more to what my heart was telling me. Right now, I’m backpacking through Southeast Asia with no fixed itinerary – just the desire to live this privilege fully and maybe find some answers along the way.
For me, traveling is way more than seeing places – it’s about connecting with people, discovering new cultures, and collecting little moments that stay with you forever. I’m the kind of person who gets excited over everything, like a kid who just got a long-awaited toy. Maybe that’s because, three years ago, I never imagined I’d be living this life. I used to think traveling the world was impossible for someone like me… and yet, here I am. 🌍✨
I’m super outgoing, I love helping people, sharing stories, laughing, and always being on the move. I don’t really know what my next professional step will be, but I’m open to possibilities – and so far, the road has been my best teacher.
P.S.: My English isn’t perfect (yet 😅). I’ve studied a lot, but I’m still learning and trying to improve every day – and this trip is also a big part of that. So if we talk and I make mistakes, feel free to laugh with me and help me out! 😉

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I faced my fears and anxiety, and now I live one day at a time – traveling, taking risks, and throwing myself into life. I don’t want to look back one day and regret not doing the things I dreamed of, just because I was scared. So here I am, chasing life with my heart wide open.
Teach, Learn, Share
I’d love to share a bit of my language and culture with you – maybe teach you some Portuguese or how to make a good caipirinha 😉
I’m always curious to learn new things, whether it’s a traditional recipe, a local saying or a completely new perspective.
And I believe that listening to people’s stories is one of the best ways to grow.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I’m a very calm and easygoing person. I enjoy talking, listening to stories, and learning about different cultures.
I’m not exactly sure what I have to offer, but I know I won’t be any trouble – and I’ll be good company if you feel like chatting, grabbing some food or having a drink together. 😊
