It is so much more inspiring to stay with local people! I hosted many travelers when I lived in New York City while teaching at NYU. I would also like to those rare explorers who come to Tampere, Finland. The city has a lot to offer for an adventurous traveler - such as the oldest common sauna in the country and the Moomin museum with original art works of Tove Jansson.
