About Me
Hi, I'm 22 years old and I study physics in Munich. I live in a single room appartment in a big dormitory and it's almost never boring.
I love how there is always someone around even if it's just to watch a movie together. There are quite a few parties, which I love going to just as much as a nice comfortable evening at home. Chocolate is my passion (my current stash is about 5 pounds). I talk a lot and really fast, but I'm also a great listener.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
The first time I heard about Couchsurfing was five years ago in 11th grade, when we read an article about it in our english class. At that time I was quite sceptical. Staying at a stranger's house in a foreign country didn't sound that appealing. But as I heard more and more about it and as I got older and (hopefully a little) wiser over the last few years, I learned, that Couchsurfing is not only safe, but opens up a lot of oppertunities.
I love travelling, sadly I haven't done that much of it so far. I have a lot of fun seeing new countries, experiencing new things and getting to know new people. What I'm really excited for, is seeing a city through the eyes of someone living there. Someone who knows all the 'must-see's, the 'have-to-do's and their way around. Orientation is not my strongest suite, so the last one is especially helpful, haha.
Interests
As I mentioned before I'm up for parties, but also enjoy a comfortable evening with friends. My hobbies include reading and listening to music. While I love to sing along, I can't really sing, so I try to keep it to a minimum when other people are around. When I'm meeting friends the activities range from playing video games over going to the theatres and shopping and cooking and watching movies to just simply talking.
I like to cook and eat.
I've recently started playing the guitar. I'm still learning but I absolutely rock "Happy Birthday".
I'm open for a lot of new things, hence I've been to a couple of basketball matches (although I'm not that much of a sports person) and I've done a few graffitis with a friend (on a wall where it's legal).

Music, Movies, and Books
MUSIC: I love almost every kind of music. The Wombats, Pink, Bastille, 30 Seconds to Mars, Of Monsters and Men, ABBA, Twentyone Pilots, to name a few. To sing along the best songs are either 90s hits or evergreens that are being played in the radio around the clock.
MOVIES: First to mention (because I am just now watching it): Sharknado! It's so bad, it's great. Absolutely hilarious. I can't await Sharknado 4. Apart from those trashy movies I like The Lone Ranger, Disney movies and almost anything with Leonardo DiCaprio or Will Smith. A good movie should have action and humor and, most importantly, it should be unpredictable. A movie, I have never even heard about before I saw it, is "3 Idiots" and if I had to pick a favorite, it would be this. Just watch it, it's amazing.
I watch a lot of series, too. Grey's Anatomy, Faking it, Chuck, Psych you name it.
BOOKS: I like the Sookie Stackhouse series, the Lexi Graves Mysteries and Percy Jackson. A book, that will probably always manage to make me laugh, is Phone Kitten. The Host is also a great book. Pride and Prejudice is a classic. There are so many amazing books and it's likely that I forgot a lot of them, but I think I mentioned the ones I like most.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
That section has me questioning my entire life. So I guess One Amazing Thing I've Done is that I have been on a typical Stocherkahnfahrt (including a barbeque) on the Neckar in Tübingen and have even 'stochert' myself. A great experience and a lot of fun!
Teach, Learn, Share
The more you know, the more you grow. I love learning and understanding. Whether it has to do with physics, languages, cultures or people, I'm interested in knowing a lot. I find that it's fascinating how you can find connections in the most diverse things and it even sometimes makes sense!
I've recently been on an excursion at CERN and it really is amazing how far we have come, how much we are learning and how there is so much still left to be understood about our universe.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Well, I can tell you a lot about physics and maths, if you need/want some private lessons.
Also I can teach German, English or Arabic.
As mentioned above, I like to cook, so I may be able to let you know some recipes or we could cook something tasty together.
On a less teaching note, I'm game for almost everything, so if there is anything you've always wanted to do but never had anyone to do it with, I'm most likely up to it.
With me you can talk about everything and anything that's on your mind.
Should you decide to host me, you sign up for a lot of fun and I hope I will leave you with a lot of happy memories and as a new friend.
