ABOUT ME

I'm a free spirit who is always willing to see the best in people. I like adventures but understand the need to temper that with some quiet time too. I am very observant about my surroundings and think it is important to be an engaged member of a world community. I think life is best lived learning, laughing, and trying to be good to those around you.

PHILOSOPHY

I believe that each person has a worth and dignity that requires my respect. I may not like everyone in the world but I approach people with an open heart and mind and give them the benefit of the doubt until they prove otherwise. I think that true experiences are the most important things in life and I try not to take any of it for granted.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have not had an official CS experience yet but I am open to sharing my home with travellers. I have had many friends and friends of frineds stay with me at various times. I like showing people around and exploring. I am excited to open myself up to a global community where I can learn about other lands and other cultures as well as share my own.

Interests

I LOVE food! I'm a food-venturist and always willing to try a new thing just to see if I might like it. I am a water baby and really like playing in the ocean, although my swimming pool often has to suffice recently. I'm very passionate about music and try to give my life a soundtrack as much as possible. I can be a bit of a bookworm but recently my TV seems to win that battle for sitting time. I like walks and hikes but I hate running. I think word games are my favourite but I can hold my own at just about anything played on a board.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

There was once a time off a boat in Hawaii when I tried to swim as deep into the open ocean as I possibly could. I realized that the sea is the largest thing in the world and it will always remain fairly unaccessable to me when it comes to all the amazing things it holds in its waters.
In Montana the snow is a dry powder that glistens like miniscule diamods in the moonlight. There was a night I walked through it in a full moon and kicked these shining bits in front of me just to watch them shimmer down on the road in front of me. It was like nothing I had ever seen before and may never see again.
