About Me
PHILOSOPHY
Respect people. Do good work. Be true to yourself. Think positive. Be grateful for what you have.
My name is Karine, I'm Brazilian, 32 years old.
Two years ago I decided to do an exchange to learn to speak English, to know about other cultures, going somewhere different from home to challenge my habitual way of thinking.
I chose Dublin/Ireland and I love living here.
I had the opportunity to live with students of various nationalities, with Irish family and currently I live with a Polish family, who welcomed me as a member of the family, I love them and I am grateful for all the moments that we had together. Everyone welcomed me very well and I was fascinated by the possibility of meeting people who have an open mind and who are available to receive people who have never seen in their lives with such open hearts.
I'm still discovering the world and find myself sometimes as a child, that still has much to explore and so I still consider myself as Apprentice Traveler.
I love that feeling to make my backpack and leave for a new destination. Makes me happy!
My exchange is ending, after two years of studying and working hard, I will embark on February 20th for an Euro trip ... I'm so excited.
Unfortunately I can't receive guests this moment but when I return to Brazil and find my own place, certainly I will open the doors of my house to those who wish to live this experience that only couchsurfing provides.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I love the concept.
Interests
I'm excited to hangout and meet interesting locals while traveling. I'm hoping that through CS I will get more fully experience the culture of the places I'm traveling.
Music, Movies, and Books
Rock, Pop rock, Jazz, Surf music and Electronic music.... I prefer these! But I listen to every kind of music.
I like so many films, all genres but my favorites are the ones that make me laugh, or those who give us a lesson in life.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
To do exchange in another Country and jumping from hang gliding in Rio de Janeiro.
Teach, Learn, Share
I could teach some Portuguese and share a bit of my culture.
I love learning language expressions of each place.
Countries I’ve Visited
Austria, Czech Republic, Denmark, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Netherlands, Portugal, United Kingdom
Countries I’ve Lived In
