Hi there! 👋 My name is Karissa, and I’m traveling with my boyfriend Tanner. We’ve been on the road since January of this year, exploring new places, learning about different cultures, and creating lasting memories with the people we meet along the way.

We’re both very active and enjoy spending time outdoors. Hiking, biking, sports and pretty much anything that gets us moving. At the same time, we also appreciate cozy evenings, good conversations, and exchanging travel experiences.

We’re excited to meet new people, build connections, and hopefully share some great memories together!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

We love using platforms like Couchsurfing because it gives us the chance to experience a place through the eyes of locals. As we’ve gotten older, we’ve moved away from the party scene, so connecting with people in more meaningful ways like sharing stories, meals, or outdoor adventures has become really important to us.

Music, Movies, and Books

Books: We’re both big fans of business and learning-focused books anything that helps us grow, think differently, or pick up new ideas.

Music: Festivals are our happy place, especially in Europe! EDM is our go-to genre, though we’re a bit different in our tastes. Karissa leans more toward mainstream and some D&B , while Tanner is all about that high-energy hardstyle. It makes for a fun balance when we’re at shows together. With that said, we love to experience music from all cultures and walks of life.

Movies: We love a good laugh, so comedies are always a favorite. We also enjoy thought-provoking documentaries that spark new ideas or inspire conversations.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Travel has given us some incredible memories, but a couple really stand out. I (and Tanner too, in spirit!) summited Huayna Potosí in Bolivia, which stands at 6,088 meters—an unforgettable mix of challenge and reward. Together, we also completed a thrilling Via Ferrata in Mürren, Switzerland, climbing high above the stunning Swiss Alps.

These kinds of adventures remind us why we love to stay active, push ourselves, and embrace the amazing experiences the world has to offer.
