ABOUT ME
We are a small family: my two boys and I. We haven't traveled all together nor have we hosted anyone. So, it's a new start for me and a start for them. I am an English teacher/ trainer who loves English and teaching. I love my job and when I work I feel good and relax. My children are Danil and Yuri. They love Lego, making houses at home, swimming and gathering mushrooms or strawberries in the forest. Yes, we live near the forest and it's full of surprises!
PHILOSOPHY
Be kind.
Enjoy what you have. But be ambitious. Don't compare people, especially with yourself. I often do so, but it's no way of learning about others!
For example, China is such a different country from France that keeping your prejudices and habits wouldn't help you understand its people. I am trying to be distant, and adopt their philosophy.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I meet people. And I travel. And I trust, too, which is important and not always easy.
I have hosted and otherwise, and today I would love to resume to meet people, to speak about Novosibirsk, to let my children enjoy CouchSurfing as well!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Discover. Close your eyes and let it be.
The first experince was positif and surprising. I never thought people CAN really let you stay ... Finally, I had an apartment in China and hosted several people.
Interests
People, language, nature, creativity, movement (dance, run, walk, climb, crouch, jump, escape), sharing with pleasure, evolution inside myself, my influence on others. Smiles and smiles.
A story: when you say hello to people in small villages of China, they often don't reply. They smile. First, you find it strange and offending. They do it in nine of ten cases. Then you think, why should it make me unhappy? They smile at me. If I make them smile, then it's better than a simple "hello".

Music, Movies, and Books
It happens that I have time neither for movies, nor for music. I read quite a lot, I love it the most. I just don't have a habit of listening to the music in the morning, and I don't need a background music for my activities.. However, "Beatles" makes my day and "Scorpions" makes me cry.
One of my favorite movies is "Pretty woman", and recently "Welcome" and "The visitor".
April2018: after being asked about my favorite book: The old man and the sea (Ernest Hemingway) and my favorite song: The white album of The Beatles and The blackbird.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I quit my studies in a French university to be a volunteer in China.
Teach, Learn, Share
I like teaching languages to people willing to learn. A friend once told me that I would be a good "educator". Today I have become an educator on my own! Only a year after our conversation.
There's a room for teaching and sharing.
