ABOUT ME
Hi there,
I am a Dutch student looking for a place to stay in Istanbul Turkey between 12 and 17 July 2011. I have been invited to speak at the IAMCR conference to be held at Kadir Has University to present a research of mine titled Understanding the Rise of WikiLeaks. To keep costs as low as possible, and to get to know Istanbul and hopefully its inhabitants better, I would like to find a nice warm place to stay during this week. Preferably near the Kadir Has University.
I am also thinking of extending my stay with a couple of days.
I am a Masters student at the Erasmus University Rotterdam. I enjoy travelling and getting to know new places and new people.
If you have any space available during 12-17 July 2011, or am interested to grab a cup of coffee or apple tea, please let me know!
looking forward to the trip!
best,
Karlijn
PHILOSOPHY
If I had a motto, it would be living by the objective to live your life to the fullest. That means to try to enjoy as much as you can and to dare to pursue any ambitions you have. I love it when people have goals and hopes!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
This will be my first CouchSurfing experience. I have loads of friends that are experienced CS'ers, but for me this will be a new experience. I love the idea and hope to contribute to the community in the near future when I hope to have a Couch for others to surf in return!
Interests
I am interested in new media, politics, political communications, international relations and history. I actually very much enjoy learning new stuff. I practice yoga to relax and go out and enjoy my time with friends to get energized.
