ABOUT ME

My ancestry is ¼ Finnish, ¼ Mexican, ¼ Portuguese, ¼ English, or like my mom used to say just enough ice to cool down the heat! I'm a grounded free spirit and a student of life. I'm also very entreprenurial and have done consulting work in sales, marketing and technical writing. Hobbies includes lots of non-profit work, film acting, writing and traveling extensively as a tourist. I'm very health conscious and I play baseball (hardball) in a men's league and ice hockey. I like to read (classics, non-fiction, self-help, health, biographies), dance and I enjoy good movies and music. Big lover of the outdoors. Like to hike, backpack, bicycle, swim, etc.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I haven't done a lot of Couchsurfing. Mostly stay with friends and at hostels all over the world.

Interests

Spending time with friends and family, world travel, reading, books, writing (scenes, scripts, poetry, journalistic topics, travel), good movies, cultures, languages, the world, making new friends, hiking, outdoors, working out, singing, music, play competitive baseball and ice hockey, architecture, alternative healthcare.

Love them...good ones that is...well-written dramas, comedies, foreign, thrillers, romance, classics....some favorites: Dr. Zhivago, The Deer Hunter, Shawshank Redemption, Gladiator, Fargo, Pulp Fiction, Bossa Nova, Harold and Maude, Tootsie, Mr. Deeds, A Man and a Woman, The Long Kiss Goodnight, LA Confidential, The Butterfly Effect, The Warriors ...and many more....I'll listen to anything but prefer classic and Brazilian jazz, classic rock, 80's, R&B, Motown/Soul......I like to read classics, non-fiction, self-help, health, biographies.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Well, here are a couple...visiting the great wall of china, backpacking to the top of Mt. Whitney, enjoying the midnight sun along Lake Saimaa in Finland.
