To give you an idea of my personality: my friends call me 'snoetje', which means 'cute little face'. But they also say that I have 2 personalities, for example when my sarcastic and dark humor comes out ;-)

I studied tourism/event management and communication science, worked in the beautiful city of Ghent as marketing/communication assistant but in december 2016 I quit this job and came to Nicaragua to start my trip through South America, together with my partner Kenneth. He studied to be an art and film educator and shares a passion for traveling. We both love to spend mornings on the beach or reading in a hammock, lunches in a sunny park, afternoons hiking in the woods, dinners cooking our own healthy (preferably veggie) meals and evenings in a cozy bar with a nice beer of good glass of wine.

Working in the tourism industry gave me the urge to discover the world but also the need to stay away from masstourism and travel in a sustainable way. We try to enrich our gapyear by volunteering on farms, travel slowely to realy get to know a place (and give ourself the time to let the experience sink in) and of course... Couchsurfing!!

When we will be back in Belgium, we will be very happy to welcome you in our home and keep the travel spirit burning.
