Frederikke and I are on our first big backpack travel and the destination is South America. Both of us are used to traveling and have seen a good bit of the world already. But now we are ready to explore what it’s like living in a backpack, and we must say that we are already in love with the simple way of living and the amazing people we have met and will meet along our way. Both of us love exploring nature and meeting people wherever we go and this is our main goals for our backpack trip. We are two friends from Denmark, and we have known each other for many years. We are now taking gap years and I (Karoline) spent my first one working some months as a volunteer in Hawaii and now I am using my second one to go travel with Frederikke who is on her first gap year.
We are both outgoing and social but still calm and down to earth. We would love it if Couchsurfing would give us the opportunity to be invited in to homes and get to know local people and make new friends.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To meet people and not only other travelers as we do in hostels. To be invited into homes to connect and make friends with locals who know more of what the area and the local life is about.
