I'm 29 years old and from Leipzig, Germany.

I am a couch potato who is happiest being outside in the sun. Not the ideal combination but life is not about perfection, I guess. I am not a party person and I appreciate a good night sleep.
I would consider myself as easy going. I don't smoke and don't have any pet allergies (in fact I will love your cat, if you have one).
I speak German, English and some French and I love to pick up new languages while traveling.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

When I'm in a foreign country I like to get to know the people and the culture.
Knowing a local has also the benefit of getting some insider tips that you won't find in a travel guide. And of course I'd like to save some money while traveling.

Music, Movies, and Books

I like to listen to indie, alternative and folk music.
Last year I've started to learn how to play the ukulele. I still haven't figured out how to play and sing at the same time but that doesn't stop me from trying anyway. But don't worry, when I'm traveling the uke stays at home. ;)

For movies I enjoy independent productions but also comedies, animated movies, fantasy movies and more.

I do like to read although I don't do it as often as I would like to. My favorite author is Terry Pratchett.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

On the Big Island of Hawaii I hiked to flowing lava. It was a difficult and challenging hike, it took me 9 hours and it was totally worth it.

Teach, Learn, Share

If you like I can teach you some German. We have amazing words like 'Straßenbahnhaltestellenhäuschen' which will probably make you appreciate your own language more than ever. :D

I like to take photographs and if we travel together I'd be happy to share the pictures of our trip with you.

I also make some pretty amazing pancakes. If there is curd in your country, I would be happy to make some for you.
