About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To see the world from different perspectives
ABOUT ME
I think of myself as an open minded, easy-going and adventurous person. My friends know me as a day-dreamer, but sometimes I can also be a little stubborn and critical when I don't understand the reasons for something. So, I just keep on asking "Why?" because I don't like answers as "That's just how it is - take it or leave it!". Maybe that's just the attitude scientists have? ;)
PHILOSOPHY
I know one thing, that I know nothing. (Platon/Sokrates)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I couchsurfed in North-America and since then wanted to give back some of the good experiences I had there. So, now I moved from Hamburg to Leipzig to start working and now that my flat mate has moved out, I finally have the space to host people at my place.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I got to experience couchsurfing the first time while traveling through North-America and had great, funny, interesting and exciting experiences. You never know what awaits you on your next trip - you can end up at the most extraordinary places with the most extraordinary people!
Interests
I like to challenge myself - wether it is in my work as a natural scientist or in sports (I used to do competitive track and field in my school time). But I also enjoy life in a more relaxed way and like to try out new things. I like to travel, to dance, to cook, to do gardening, reading and watching movies.

Music, Movies, and Books
Harry Potter (The books), Lord of the rings, Inception, A beautiful mind, My sister's keeper, Into the wild, Scrubs, Big Bang theory, Pixar Animation Movies ... and almost every kind of music, depending on my mood :)
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I spent a year in Longyearbyen, Svalbard - a scracely settled island in the Arctic, where I studied different fields in polar research. I experienced a life in the wilderness between polarbears, glaciers and pack ice and saw my first polar lights which was really impressing.
