About Me

So, since I've been on this site for six years, it may be time to update my profile a bit ;)
I'm still a student of political science and philosophy, but have delved into lot's of other topics - both in university and "real life". Looking at knowledge outside of the ivory tower helped me reflect on my own position in society and work on myself.
Some of my fascinations are activism, art, nonsense and bad puns - especially if some of those are combined.
It is really important for me that my relationships with other people are reflective of my values - I want to have as little hierarchies as possible in my life and make sure the people around me are comfortable.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Surfing and hosting.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Stayed with awesome people in Bilbao and hosted some people (they contacted my roommate, but we take care of our guests together ;) )

Interests

As hinted above, I'm interested in the state of the world and the possibilities to improve it. But beyond such grave realities, I am happy when I manage to get out into nature (it happens too rarely, however), visit (or organize) concerts, or spend an absurd amount of time with topics that don't really have any relevance for my daily life (You never know when it's gonna be of use!)
And of course there's the usual amount of spending time with friends, cooking (in my case: vegan food), reading and watching movies and series.

Music, Movies, and Books

Hip-Hop tore my heart away from punk although this old love is not gone completely ... I like books that offer me new perspectives - and I have some guilty literature pleasures that include Game of Thrones.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Organized a day of skill-sharing for my birthday last year - it wasn't the most relaxing birthday, but a lot of fun!

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm a trained massage therapist, so I can probably show you a thing or two if you're interested in that ... apart from that, people say I make awesome vegan pancakes.
I'm always interested in learning about the lives of people who live a different life than I do.

What I Can Share with Hosts

My sense of humour, the aforementioned pancakes and lots of intersting stories (I hope!).

Countries I’ve Visited

Belgium, Denmark, France, Spain, United Kingdom

Countries I’ve Lived In

Germany, Slovenia, South Korea
