About Me
Hellooo! I'm a third-year student with a major in International Relations from the University of California, Irvine. I'm currently studying at SciencesPo Paris for a semester as apart of a study abroad program! Aside from being a student, I do front-end web development as a part-time job (basically, I build websites!) and I really enjoy it (:
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I want to explore the world, while meeting new people. I think couchsurfing is a really neat way to do that, especially as a student(: I'm not very good with interacting with a lot of people, so I thought that trying couchsurfing would be better than staying at a hostel. While I can always use the internet or flip through books to find things to do, but I'd rather find all of that out from the locals.
I'm most likely going to open my home up for couchsurfing guests when I return back to California because I really like meeting new people from different places!
Interests
I reaaaally love food (although I've recently become vegetarian for reasons pertaining to family, however there's fortunately a lot of really good vegetarian food out there so I'm not too bothered). I also love drinking, karaoke, and going out to have fun <:

Music, Movies, and Books
My musical and cinematic interests range from a lot of different things. For music, my tastes span from jazz music to rock to classical to pop to rap to EDM. Honestly, I grew up listening to The Beatles, The Supremes (and a lot of other Motown). It wasn't until middle school that I starting to listen to other music; I also went to an arts high school to play jazz.
For films, it depends on my mood, but I really like movies that make you think, funny movies, old films, feel-good films... Although, I guess I can say movies that I really like that I can always watch over and over again are: Studio Ghibli films, The Sound of Music, Disney films, Pirates of the Caribbean, Breakfast at Tiffany's, 21 Jump Street, Mean Girls, and Back to the Future. I also really like the Coen brothers, although I'm pretty uncomfortable with blood and violence, so I can only watch those movies again when I'm feeling up to it.
In terms of books, I really like The Kitchen God's Wife by Amy Tan, books by Tana French, and books by Dan Brown.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
A few summers ago, I taught English in Taiwan to elementary school students c:
Teach, Learn, Share
If you are planning a future trip to visit Los Angeles or Taiwan, I can give some advice on places to go!
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can always help out around the house (like doing the dishes or whatnot) while I'm there. I don't like being an inconvenience, so if there's anything I can do to help out, let me know! I would offer to cook but my cooking is atrocious since I don't know how to cook): But I like to learn and am always willing to at least help out in the kitchen(:
