About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To see how many memories I can fit into my head.
ABOUT ME
My name is Kasia, I'm 26 and I teach English. I live in Racibórz in the south of Poland together with my husband and my in-laws.
I love the idea of travelling but somehow I haven't ever done much of it :) I used to be more after theory in my life but discovered one day it wasn't really my thing anymore. So yes, I still do read guidebooks, but only after I've booked a ticket to a place :)
PHILOSOPHY
Make decisions. Any decision is better than no decision at all.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I want to travel but it's a thrilling idea to host someone as well!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
None so far, so who's in for changing that?
Interests
Cinema - I co-host a weekly radio programme about cinema and the American Box Office which is quite funny as there is absolutely no chance I've seen the films I talk about unless I travel to the USA and back every week :)
Music - every type! I used to be into grunge and indie a lot, now it's a mix of that and everything else. I'm not religious about genres if something catches my... ear? BUT: if there's a trumpet and a little bit of folk, I'm in!
Books - I'm quite picky about my books. I judge books by their covers. If I start a book, I will finish it no matter how much of a struggle it's going to be. I OWN books and will not part with any single one of them. I have too many and I always read too many at the same time.
Fashion and sewing - I like clothes so why not try and make them myself? I find it quite frustrating sometimes, though. Maybe because I couldn't be bothered with patterns? I see something, I try to imagine how it's been done, I improvise and then I correct everything until it fits. Do not try this at home! There will be tears.
It would be a cliche to mention 'travelling' here, wouldn't it?

Music, Movies, and Books
Movies: Gladiator, Fight Club, Confessions of a Dangerous Mind, Harry Potter (from The Order of the Phoenix on, although I have a sentiment for all of them), Lord of the Rings (can't wait for Hobbit!), Star Wars (IV-VI), Spirited Away (although it was maybe a bit too scary for me - yeah, laugh :)), everything from Disney, Love Actually, Monty Python everything, Chicago.I've also developed quite an appreciation for war films - my husband forced me into liking them :)No horror films, please.Music - Florence and the Machine, Beirut, Radiohead, Nirvana, Adele, Coldplay, Hurts, Moloko and Roisin Murphy, CocoRosie, The Strokes, lately Erykah Badu, but honestly this is too difficult. There are bands and whole genres that I used to think I would never listen to, but I do now.Books - this is another tough one... Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter (every book was amazing but the last one - pure genius), everything by Bill Bryson, Philip Pullman's His Dark Materials trilogy, Golding's Lord of the Flies, Salinger's The Catcher in the Rye, I've enjoyed Tracy Chevalier recently, Huck Finn and Tom Sawyer and so on and so forth.....http://www.goodreads.com/user/show/5264296-kasia
