ABOUT ME

Kasia:
I'm a 23-year-old vegetarian female, trying to find out what to do after my studies and to avoid being an adult. I read a lot, study a lot, don't sleep long enough. Have lots of plans in my head but not enough time and/or energy to make all of them real.
I'm a 5th year student of cognitive science and 2nd of swedish philology.

Bartek:
I enjoy reading cool stuff about the mind (to get the idea just check out www.mindhacks.com - my favourite blog). As a child I hadn't had lego blocks, but now I'm making up for this playing in creating software.
I like nature.
I study cognitive science (fifth year) and IT (third year).

PHILOSOPHY

Bartek:
Unarmed atheist.
I find it absurd when people try to prove / disprove something to others just because THEY believe / disbelieve it. Have fun instead. And have some respect.
Vegan.
Living in 21 century in civilised world has shown that we can exist without unnecessary cruelty to other beings.

Interests

Kasia:
I like spending time on a fresh air (on my bike or simply walking).
I used to read a lot but now I usually read things connected with my studies.
I love films, film festivals, film reviews.
I'm really interested in French culture and language and I'm dying to go there.

Bartek:
There are a few things that I'm interested in.
For a start: human and machine.
Human.
I fall in a state of overwhelming enchantment just by pointing my attention to consciousness. I'm attracted to many things mind-related, like hypnosis, psychology, unconscious, thinking processes and it's schemata.
Dreams (ordinary and lucid) are something astonishing to me - like a journey to other reality.
Complexity and simpleness of human beings is just fantastic.
Machine.
I'm inevitably drawn towards the idea of thinking machines. Maybe someday I'll take part in a quest to create such entities.
More down to Earth: I really, really like computers.
Besides that Cosmos is something that I enjoy acquiring new knowledge about.
