ABOUT ME

I'm a twenty-year-old student of literature who sometimes gets paid to write things (or, you know, work part time in retail. Livin' the dream). Otherwise, I spend a lot of my time blogging, reading, and exploring.

Although I grew up in the Ozarks, I'm the first to be born in the States (Polish mother, Hungarian father), and I have double citizenship (Polish/American). I've spent a lot of my childhood in Eastern Europe and travelling to different places, and now I'm finally an adult and at home anywhere in the world.

You should probably be warned. I'm 4'11".

I'll be spending my junior year abroad in Cambridge, England. During this time, I'll have two, massive five-week breaks for travelling. I probably won't have a couch, but I'm always down for making new friends!

Interests

Anything from the comfort of A Prairie Home Companion on a Sunday night to becoming lost in the impossibly narrow streets of Sorrento, Italy.

Plus, I enjoy dissecting parts of pop culture (read: Kanye's tweets) as if they are the collected works of Shakespeare.

Oh, and food. Give me anything... Taco Bell, escargot, whatever else you've got up your sleeve. I'm a beast.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

If I speak to you about travel, chances are I'll allude to Sorrento, Italy. When I was in middle school, I stayed with my family on a lemon orchard with a view of Pompeii across the sea, just above a private cove. I even remember the fine details, such my red Limited Too swimsuit and my shock when I realized that our elderly neighbors considered it a nude beach. Keep on truckin', Paolo.

Teach, Learn, Share

Teach? Ah, my friends. Get ready to pick up some pretty mean AP skills, learned from my days as a college newspaper editor. No? Well... care to discuss why the cancellation of Arrested Development is worse than the existence of Charlie Sheen? Yeah. I knew you would.

Learn? I want to improve my Polish skills, which have pretty tragically escaped my over time (It's been seven years since I last visited home sweet Polska). I'd also love to practice my French- parlez avec moi, s'il vous plait!
