Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
to learn to play the banjo better and to finish my thesis in time.
ABOUT ME
I consider myself rather laid-back and hospitable. Easy-going. I like people and they tend to like me in return. Try to live sustainably, don't eat meat, never, well very rarely buy new stuff or clothes but still a snappy dresser in my field (I hope..), addicted to thrift-stores and vintage-stuff. Also I'm really good at playing Swedish Scrabble, we call it Alfapet. Every night when I go to bed I long for the coffee I'll have when I wake up.
PHILOSOPHY
Adjust the rules according to what life brings you, not life accordning to the rules.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
None yet, but travelling to the US soon where I hope to get some. UPDATE as of 30/3 2010: hosted once! Love it!
Interests
MUSIC! I (try to)play clawhammer-banjo, flute, ukulele, some harmonica (and the fiddle if someones life depended on it, but it was a while ago I touched it). I collect records, enjoy going to concerts and I dj from time to time. I prefer folksy stuff, some psych, old music generally but anything goes genrevise if it's good. I like Fuck Buttons, Caribou, Animal Collective etc aswell.. I have had a severe Bob Dylan hang-up for a couple of years but I think it has cooled down now actually. Otherwise I'm interested in going out with friends, new and old alike, having a beer or three, walking in the woods, being out in nature, biking and a good conversation. I really like to talk things over to find new ways of thinking and new perspectives on life.

Music, Movies, and Books
All of the above. Not so much movies though, I get too carried away by them and besides I do not have a TV. Books I like tend to deal with the big issues; I love John Steinbeck, Swedish author Sara Lidman and a zillion others.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Moved out in the woods to an abandoned old farm when I was 25, stayed there for 2 years. That has changed my life. Back in civilization now though..
Teach, Learn, Share
Well, I've studied law for five years so I ought to have something to offer in that field. Especially human rights and international law with a focus on labor regulation.
