Music, Movies, and Books

I have a very broad taste. I feel like most music is enjoyable within the right context and I love learning about why people like the music they like because that often helps me to appreciate new music more. I listen to a lot of classical music in my day to day life. Also a lot of soundtracks, as well as plenty of metal, punk, rock, pop, acoustic etc. My taste is very eclectic and I feel like there is nothing that I cannot potentially enjoy.

Similarly I'll pretty much watch or read anything and everything! Especially if it comes recommended by someone else because then I feel I need to find what they enjoyed about it based on my own understanding. I often watch a lot of British tv shows as well as European crime dramas but honestly nothing is off limits for me. If I want to watch something purely for the comfort factor it has to be Grand Designs or Midsomer Murders.

Again when it comes to books I'll give anything a go. As a student I am also inclined to read a lot of literature in my respective area of focus but often i read these out of enjoyment as well. Furthermore, I love to read about cultural and social practices around the world, or social problems unique to different countries. I love to educate myself about countries and people all over the world. I spend way too much time just googling random questions and reading the answers.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Cut four thousand year old human teeth and ear bones and stuck them under a laser mass spectrometer in order to assess their isotopic information? I'm not a very amazing person. Other people are amazing and do amazing things and I just keep existing.

What I Can Share with Hosts

A keen interest to learn almost anything and to share everything. I can share my experiences and my knowledge - with regard to english language and teaching, archaeology, history, archaeological science, isotopes, radiocarbon dating, skeletons, anthropology, horses and horse riding, social sciences and research, Australia... my list is endless because I read a lot so I don't know much about any one thing but I usually know at least one thing about many things.
Unfortunately I only know English competently but I do tutoring so I can help a lot if you wish. I can also cook and bake very confidently. Living in a very diverse multicultural country has given me a lot to work with when it comes to food. I also bake really great treats and love making bread.
Mostly though I just want to learn about other people, cultures, their lives and experiences. Very content to sit, listen, and ask questions.
