Just a small town girl, livin' in a lonely world :D

So I'm a 31-year old girl (ah, this is so painful to update this every year...) who fell in love with travelling around 10 years ago.

Here's how it began... I was born in a village, on the south-east of Poland, moved out from my parents' house to a city at the age of 16 and after three years moved again to the capital city of Poland.

After a few years of studying I decided to begin my adventure of the lifetime and travel for six months. So I spontaneously booked a flight and went to London to live and work there. And then I went to France for a student exchange. During my stay there I tried to see a new place every weekend. I've seen most of the cities in southern France, I also visited Spain, Italy and Germany and spent two weeks in Morocco.
I fell in love with travelling! And this is a mental illness that cannot be easily cured... :)

I love life, I love beauty. I love music, chocolate and sunsets. I love experiencing those perfect little moments that make life so beautiful. And many times I find myself wanting to stop the time. Just freeze an amazing moment and make it last... which is why I love photography so much - it gives me at least a feeling of having these moments captured.

To be honest, I'm a little girl with a fairly old soul. Well, maybe not so little anymore... although I very often feel this way!

I want to see and experience so much more in my life!!!

I start my work everyday drinking coffee and searching for cheap flights! :D

I expand my travel wish list every day, thinking about all the interesting locations I could be at right now. I would like to visit India, more of South America, Africa and Australia for sure. Actually, I'd love to visit all the countries in the world (if only I had so much time in life)!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I want to see many places and meet people from around the world!
I'm very curious of the differences between cultures, it amazes me how different we can be and how similar at the same time... :)

Oh, and I have this weird thing that I like to listen when people speak their native languages, even if I don't understand anything :D I guess I just love languages and how much they can tell about people :)

And, OMG, couchsurfing is soooo amazing! The more I use it, the more amazed I am by how people all around the world are so great. I'm like the biggest ambassador of CS in my environment, I think everyone should try it and see that the world is beautiful and the people are good!

Interests

I have many interests, I don't like listing them because they change so fast, I want to try so many things in life :) I'm basically interested in everything that's about people and life. I love dancing and photography, I am this crazy little photographer who is taking pictures all the time to stop the passing time...

Recently, travelling has become a passion that takes up a lot of my time and energy (I wish it could take much more - but well, I have to work as well). It's amazing how much energy and inspiration it provides in return! I think it's the one of best ways to develop yourself - go somewhere, see something different, see your life from all those new perspectives - I don't know many better ways to grow.

I love just getting the idea, booking a flight spontaneously, grabbing my backpack (the less things I take the better - I don't need much) and just exploring and experiencing. The thrill I feel waking up at night and going to the airport to catch an early flight to a place I've never seen yet - you'll only understand when you feel it.

So people who know me also know they can expect a quick call or a spontaneous message from me with a simple question: I have a plan to go to *insert any place in the world*, are you going with me? Or I'll just go alone and meet some locals. Or be by myself and experience an inner journey as well. Or find a stranger and convince them to go with me - yes, people sometimes say I'm crazy.

My sister often gets flight tickets as a Christmas or birthday gifts from me (I want her to see what I see!), same with my parents (they're already inspired, so it worked!). If someone is not convinced - I help with my advice, I create little travelling guides of the places I've researched, I encourage people to be courageous and try! I've seen so many beautiful things and I want to share them with others :)

I also like to dance, cycle, swim and I'm very much into personal development, I also host Women Circles regularly at my place.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Lying on the silky sand on the top of a big dune on the Sahara desert in the middle of the night gazing at thousands of stars above me was one of the most amazing things I've ever experienced

(1.2018 update: I have a new one ^^ not sure which one to choose): swimming in the Dead Sea at night with a full moon above... magic *.*

(3.2018 update): sunset on Ipanema beach in Rio and seeing Iguazu Falls *.*

(11.2018 update): 5000km roadtrip through California, Arizona, Utah and Nevada in 2 weeks! Never seen so many beautiful places in my life *.*

(2.2020 update): hitchhiking through Cambodia alone and seeing Ankor Wat!

(6.2021 update): skydiving above Hel peninsula !!!

(9.2021 update): sunrise in magical Cappadocia in an air balloon

(7.2023 update): moving to Norway and seeing Trolltunga

(12.2023 update): backpacking through Indonesia and sunrise on Batur volcano
