About Me
Hi! My name is Kasia and I am from Poland. I live in USA and I will stay here for just next 2 months, so I try to use this time as much as possible! Just after high school decided that I just need a Gap Year and for this year here I really want to meet inspiring people with diffrend mindsets! For almost 2 years, I was preparing myself to become a doctor, but it has never been meant for me. My final exam went really bad...
In Poland, I live near the capital city - Warsaw. For whole of my life I was living in the villige which was a very pleasant environment for adolescence. I remember my childhood very well. I have two brothers that I love very much. I have a very close relationship with my family, so the decision to leave was very difficult for me.
The excess of interest caused difficulties with the choice of studies. All through high school, I listened to other people's opinions, and I forgot to follow my heart. It was only after I received the results of my high school graduation that I was shocked. I am a very hardworking person and I put a lot of effort into working on the exam.
I love nature, especially lying on the grass and admiring the surroundings. I love mountain tours and all activities related to sports. I love cats and their company. In Poland I left my beloved cat named Włóczka! I miss her very much!!

Music, Movies, and Books
It is really hard to choose only ONE!!!
When it comes to my music taste I love different kinds of music. My favorite tune I could listen to till I die is "Meeting Kitty" from Oppenhimmer. I love the whole soundtrack of that movie. I'm a huge fan of film music. My playlist on spotify lasts almost 40 hours!!! And I haven't bored her in three years. I love the music of Hans Zimmer, John Williams and Dario Marianelli. I am very sensitive when it comes to film music and depending on the mood it always makes me feel different.
In addition, I love listening to Beatles, Queen and other artists from that period. At the moment, my favorite song is "The winner takes it all" by Abba, "Smalltown Boy" by Bronski Beat and "Your song" by Elton John. However, I think the music that was created during their time was the greatest masterpiece that no one can match.
When it comes to film, I have a lot of favorite films. If I want to enjoy my emotions, my feelings, and I want to feel the friction on my calf, I'm going to turn on the Oppenhimmer. If I want to relax after a hard weekend, I turn on "How I Lost My Boyfriend in 10 Days," and if I want to see a real movie, I turn on "Pulp Fiction."
I started reading books during the pandemic and since then I am totally in love with this kind of spending time, my favorite songs are for sure "Year 1984" Orwell, "Little Women" , "Nightingale" written by Kristin Hannah, "Kordian" - Juliusz Słowacki (Polish book) and "Hamlet".
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I think the most beautiful thing I ever did in my life was taking care of my mom, when she had cancer and was really sick. It was not an easy time for me. But I gave 100 percent of my energy and commitment into relieving her everyday pain that she struggled with during treatment. It was a time of transition for me, because I felt I might lose someone who meant the most to me in life. Therefore, this time has changed me enormously and I am proud of my mother who has overcome the disease and of myself for fighting it.
