I am super bad at writing bios, my apologies in advance :) My name is Kata, and I currently live in Berlin, trying to finish my studies in English and Spanish phylology. I consider myself as open-minded, eager to learn and discover new things. When I travel, I prefer to blend in the everyday lives of locals, rather than travel around like a typical tourist. Cultural exchange is very important to me, I like to share and learn about cultural and social characteristics of places, as well as about the experiences and personal perceptions of locals.

我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

To be honest, although I am registrated here for a long time, I ´ve never used the chance to try couchsurfing...One reason is that I never dared to. I´ve heard many negative stories of couchsurfers and since I often travel alone, I just could not overcome my fear. However, I really would like to travel more than I did so far...given that I am still studying, my travel budget is very limited most of the time,which often kept me back from traveling at all. Thus, I would be super grateful if couchsurfing enabled me to travel more and collect experiences and friends from all over the world!

Honestly, I like all kinds of music, except electro and techno. From the doors, Janis Joplin, Jimmy Hendrix, to Guns and Roses, Aerosmith, to Omara Portuondo, Ibrahim Ferrer, Bomba estereo, calle 13 , Maluma, Los van van, charanga habanera, Havana de primera...and the list goes on endlessly. Lately I am more into chilled hiphop and R´n B like, Loyle Carner, Rejjie Snow, Masego, Mahalia, Barney Artist, Jorja Smith and I have a big crush on Allan Rayman. He is awesome.

I traveled through Cuba in camiones ... which might sound unimpressive at first, but believe me, it isn´t. My back still hurts.

Well, I love to take advance of the languages I speak... I can offer hungarian, german, english and spanish. I am always happy to teach or practice any of those, or learn a new one. I also like to share and learn about the customs,traditions and myths of different cultures, I think they are very fascinating.
