Por qué estoy en Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I learned about CS from three different friends and it sounded to me like a community I would love to be part of. I have the impression that it is a community of like-minded poeple with similar outlooks on life. more specifically, I love travel, but i hate tourism.

I love to host travellers and show them the holes in the wall and local places, especially in my beloved city, Beirut. ( I am there every july and christmas break and ofcourse have a couch to offer).
likewise, when i travel myself, i seek the local and authentic experience. With CS, i felt like I can find people that enjoy hosting travellers and giving them a sense of their towns and what they appreciate about it.

Intereses

i love flying. I earned my wings a couple of years ago and love to take trips all around.

snowboarding is my favorite sport! i picked it up in lebanon.. we got amazing slopes there! and they overlook the Mediterranean.. ( best part, you can snowboard with a t-shirt!! ) but east coast has got fun slopes too.. as long as we're super bundled up :S cant wait to visit cali.. tahoe specifically :)

homebrewing!! we made our second batch and many to come!

rockclimbing! brooklyn boulders is my favorite spot in the city. central park has some pretty awesome boulders.

I love photography, i am an amateur, i shoot with a nikon D-80

and of course, i am interested in people, in coffee shops and in pubs :)

Algo increíble que he hecho

the total solar eclipse! by far the most amazing thing i have ever seen. I was in Salloum, a desert in egypt, we are roaming around awaiting the 4 minutes of total eclipse, nothing super exciting, just getting a bit darker, felt like a cloudy day if anything..
then suddenly, the diamond ring! i can remove the glasses right after..
the horizon is pink in all directions. 360 degree silhouette of a sunset. i look up. the sky is pierced! there is a hole in the sky, complete silence! i stand there frozen, in complete awe. i dont know what to think, what to say, what to feel.. natural response: tears start pouring unstoppably. 4 minutes pass in split second.
just beautiful!
