My name is Katie, I'm originally from the north of England but have been travelling around different parts of the world since September! I travelled around South Africa for 3 months, before holidaying in Bali and coming to Australia. I have travelled up the east coast and spent a lot of time in Sydney. I am a primary school teacher and am looking to start emergency teaching when I get settled in Melbourne.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am coming to the end of almost 6 months of travelling and money is running a little low so thought I would try out couch surfing! Also, I would love to meet locals from Melbourne who could show me around and teach me about the city and where is good to go!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

My 3 months in South Africa were the most amazing months of my life! Here I worked alongside HIV positive children in Cape Town, rescued animals in Kimberley and undertook rural healthcare and an HIV awareness program in St. Lucia

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can cook quite well and would be willing to make dinner or lunch! Also I could share stories from my travels. Like to have a good time and would be a great companion for drinks and evenings out too!
