Hey guys. My name is Kate, I'm fun, ambitious, adventurous and always ready for a new challenge and to meet new people! Ive spent the last year living/working in Banff (Canada) and have learnt how to snowboard, hike mountains and have met some pretty incredible people. After my year in Banff I travelled all around Canada, New York, Mexico, Iceland, England, Ireland, Germany, Austria and Slovakia. I got home to the Gold Coast a week ago and Im feeling really flat as I haven't been home in a year and a half, struggling a lot fitting back into normal life... (what is normal life anyway). Locals and backpackers on the coast- lets meet up ill show you around, beaches, rainforests, ect. I wanna meet some cool, likeminded people- I miss being on the road... I'm friendly, outgoing, i love food and would love to get to know new people! :)

I'm on Couchsurfing because I believe the most important aspect of travelling is meeting up with locals who can show you their culture and you can learn from. Im currently living with my parent on Gold Coast in Australia so I cant host anyone but would love to meet up!

I love any kind of music- open to anything. My favourite book is 'The Adoration of Jenna Fox'- such a good read! I just finished reading 'Wanderlust' by Elizabeth Eaves which was a great read.

Une aventure extraordinaire que j'ai vécue

Last July I hiked a mountain in Banff called Mt Cascade took us just under 12 hours, 3000m elevation, 20km- considering how I had no training was pretty unfit Im very impressed I persisted and finished it! The hardest yet most amazing thing I have ever done.
