Hello all! I am a 21 year-old Australian who loves to travel, meet new people and experience new things. I am currently taking a break from study and am travelling around the USA for a few months. I haven't seen much yet, but I can't wait for the months ahead!

Back home I am a swimming teacher, I love to read and watch movies and hang out with friends. In the past I have tried sports such as dragon boating (like Chinese rowing), I've paraglided (paraglid?) in Turkey and eaten kangaroo meat. I love challenging myself and while I can't offer my home to new people, if I stay with you, please consider my home your home!

我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

I'm on Couchsurfing primarily as a way of experiencing the city I visit as authentically as possible. Youth hostels are fun, but being a tourist can definitely shelter you and while the bubble is great, I am looking for more with my travels. I'm keen to meet local people, hear about hidden gems and really get a feel for the city I'm in.

兴趣

I love to swim and most sports, although I can't pretend to be particularly athletic. I enjoy curling up with a good book or movie when it's miserable but if I had a choice I would live in summer all year around! I studied International Relations at university so I also take a keen interest in international politics and history.

I love music and look forward to sharing with you my favourite Australian artists - Seth Sentry, SAFIA, Chet Faker, Architecture in Helsinki… The list goes on and on! I will listen to anything with a good beat, and love a good dance with friends.

My two favourite movies of all time are the Sound of Music and Mulan, but my taste definitely extends beyond musicals and cartoons! The last film I saw was a really interesting documentary called 'The Beekeeper' which told the story of a Kurdish man who sought refuge in Switzerland after being targeted in Iraq as his sons were fighters for the PKK.

I adore reading and always have. At the moment I'm eagerly awaiting for a new book to arrive, called 'The Executioner's Song'. Obviously I'm a massive Harry Potter fan, l love books by Tim Winton - really, I'll read everything and anything!
