Overview
About Me
I travelled for one year after graduating college and utilized Couchsurfing and would now like to return the favor to other travelers :) I come from a large family (5 siblings in total- all of whom I love and miss dearly) so I am very familiar with and have no problem at all sharing spaces :)
I played soccer in university, and am always up for anything adventurous/ spontaneous/ active (I love hiking, camping, skiing, adventure sports, etc.)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I really love meeting new people. For me, the coolest part about traveling is being able to engage with all kinds of different people and learn about communities from a local perspective. I just recently joined couchsurfing because I found that in hostels it was really easy for me to stay in a group of people who were from my country or who were extremely similar to me ...and yes I was seeing all the sites and doing the tours (and I obviously love meeting other travelers and friends!!), but I would love to be able to interact with local people who live in the areas I'm visiting and sometimes it's hard to do that when staying in hostels.
I believe couchsurfing offers a really unique opportunity for a true cultural exchange: to be able to trade stories and customs, expand as a person as I travel, learn about people from all over the world, and view my life in greater perspective.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Hiked the Inca Trail- I'm absolutely fascinated by ancient cultures so pretty much all of Cusco was amazing to me (fingers crossed that I can go to Egypt!)
Spent New Years Eve in New York City (watched the ball drop!)
Teach, Learn, Share
Learn: I like learning about other people's experiences not only in traveling but in their lives, everyone has an interesting story to share.
Share: Friendship, stories, experiences, laughter. I also would love to learn how to cook different foods! I'm trying to collect a recipe book of my favorite recipes around the world as I travel- so if you'd like to swap recipes I'd love that :)
What I Can Share with Hosts
I love baking! If there's the right ingredients, I like to make chocolate chip cookies, cake pops, apple pie, monster cookies, bread (although this takes a long time), etc.
