About Me

Hi! I'm Kate, and I'm was a military brat, so I traveled all around the world as I grew up. I'm a pretty cheerful person, and I love animals. Meeting new people is one of my favorite things, because there is so much to be learned from each other. I love the rain and stormy weather. Baking is a personal hobby of mine!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I've been recently kicked out of my parents house, and I'm trying to get a job. I'd like to meet new people and couchsurfing is much more reliable option than sleeping in my car, which is scary and really uncomfortable because I have a small car. I love baking and figured I could share that among people that I stay with!

Music, Movies, and Books

I like a lot of music, from Fallout boy to Jason Mraz, its a huge variety. My movies tend to be romantic or comedic or both, I definitely don't watch scary movies. I LOVE reading, I've read a lot of books, but fantasy are my favorite, and my top book is Roverandom by J.R.R. Tolkien.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I hiked Mt Fuji when I was 16, we hiked through the night. The air got so thin that I could only walk twenty feet before stopping and catching my breath. It was pretty cool. We got to the top a little after sunrise and I stood on the edge....and couldn't see anything beyond ten feet in front of me due to the clouds :P but it was an incredible experience.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach some skills, such as basic cooking, baking, getting a lot of food for less money, home renovation skills, and how to work with computer hardware! I want to learn about life! Budgeting skills, adulting skills, what your childhood and life has been like (as a military brat I had an unusual childhood, and I really like hearing about how other people grew up!). It'd be really cool to share experiences, like hiking or cooking, or making art!

What I Can Share with Hosts

Baking skills, basic construction labor (wall patching, painting, texturing, usage of a drill, etc), literature suggestions, appreciation of good music, a cheery attitude every morning!
