My name is Kate and I'm a lover of new people and places. I am based in New Orleans, Louisiana and lead a 90s style indie-rock band, Beach Angel. I enjoy cooking, great food, and people who know how to laugh. I always travel with my guitar and I'm happy to play, write, and sing whenever. My main form of travel these days is touring and my band loves to meet new friends and musicians.

I'm here on couchsurfing to hopefully meet new friends who can show me what they love about the places I'm traveling and that I can do the same for them in the US. I've previously used Workaway to travel and have worked in a few hostels. I love social environments like these that include meetings lots of new people.

Une aventure extraordinaire que j'ai vécue

Last week while traveling in Berlin, I played guitar and sang some of my songs for new friends I had just met. One suggested I play a concert in the city while I was there. He connected me with a friend of his who worked at a venue there and I contacted them and sent them some of my music. Three days later I played a full concert with my original music. I never expected I would do something like this abroad for strangers, but it was incredible and I felt proud. I will be happy if I can ever do it again.
