About Me

We are young, non-smoking, positive, active travellers, ex-AISECers, ex-AEGEEan(only Kate;)

The most inspiring thing I've done for last few months is organising English and German speaking clubs in Kiev. It feels like my personality changes while I'm speaking different languages.

Last year we met sunsurfers and are going to take part in Sunserfers meeting in Turkey.

The most unforgettable travelling experience was with AEGEE, it's so great to be a big family with other 30 people from all over Europe:) As members of AIESEC there were many events and interesting things we organized.

Life is too short, so better enjoy every moment of it!

When I'm couchsurfing :
- If I send you request, be sure that I completely read your profile and respect your way of hosting. And most important: I like you :-)
- I respect CS community and believe that it's not just about a free bed, but it's about respect, honour and sharing.
- I'm very clean, polite and attentive to details. So I'm ready to clean everything after my stay.
- I love sweets and chocolate, so I can bring something delicious :-)

When I'm hosting:
- I'll provide a clean and cosy bed for you cause I know that good rest is very important while travelling
- You definetely won't be hungry
- If I have free time, I'll show you the city and some interesting not touristic places

If you like cycling we'll show you amazing places and tracks

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Meeting new friends, communicating, travelling and exploring other cultures - that's all what we love so much!

It is impossible to understand any culture just by visiting places. So if we are in a new country or city, we want to know people, not just visit tourist attractions.

It's all about people not places;)

Interests

Yoga and meditation clear the mind so well. Sometimes we practice Vipassana after completing a 10 days course in 2016.

There's usually some music playing at our place, because it creates a special atmosphere;) And music can vary from lounge or jazz to techno up to my mood.

Because of passion to cook I (Kate) did a cooking course in Italy, and from time to time go to some cooking lessons in Kyiv too. So be ready to eat some delicious food at our place:)

Music, Movies, and Books

Books - science fiction (Ray Bradburry is one of my favourite), antiutopias, and just beautifull stories like The Night Circus by Erin Morgenstern. We usually have Kindle with us and we like books that impress us. The Art of Hearing Heartbeats by Jan-Philipp Zendker is a marvellous book, that we both enjoyed a lot.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Climbed highest mountain in Ukraine together
Organized a three-month educational conference for youth

Teach, Learn, Share

We can cook some traditional dishes, like Ukrainian borsch, Italian lasagna, gnocchi, Spanish tortilla or something else)
We can teach some words in Russian, Ukrainian, Italian and German (only good ones!)

Learn some words or phrases, and to cook some traditional and vegetarian dishes:)

What I Can Share with Hosts

A cosy place to sleep, warm shower, endless maybe allnight talks, tasty food and lively discussions.

Countries I’ve Visited

Andorra, Austria, Czech Republic, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Netherlands, Slovakia, Spain, Turkey

Countries I’ve Lived In
