I just graduated from the University of Utah with a Bachelor’s in psychology, with minors in business and philosophy. I plan to go to graduate school to obtain my PhD in industrial/organizational psychology. For the next year I’ll be doing research and preparing for graduate school. I love art and history, and would choose visiting a city’s museums over most things. I’m not a huge animal person, but I exhibit the same involuntary gasping and smiling many people do when they see dogs when I see kids (I’ve worked in childcare for 4 years and I love it). I’m passionate about learning. I love the feeling of gaining new knowledge. I’m very happy and easygoing, but am also very organized and dependable. I love good food, being in nature, and the color blue.

I’m picky about movies. I like when I feel like a gained something from a movie, like it was a good way to spend two hours. Some movies I’ve enjoyed are Sing Street, Coco, Dead Poet’s Society, Good Will Hunting, Spirited Away, Les Choristes, and Just Friends.

Books I’ve liked: Catcher in the Rye, Lord of the Flies, Harry Potter, Still Alice, Fight Club, Of Mice and Men, and Walden.

As far as popular music goes, I enjoy Ed Sheeran, Justin Bieber, Marianas Trench, ABBA, and other random jams, but I also enjoy the art of music and I really like orchestral, jazz, mariachi, choral, and other performance music.

My family once visited The Dominican Republic and we zip lined through the forest in this natural water park in the rain. It was incredible.

I’ve been getting antsy staying in one place for so long. I really want to learn about new places, hear new stories, and open my mind to possibilities I may not have seen in my home town. I would soak in any information or perspectives my host has to offer, and would provide any insight I can offer from the places I’ve seen as well.
